Jeanette is committed to teaching yoga as a healing path, leading to greater self-awareness, vitality, strength, freedom and joy. Her teaching style is inter-disciplinary, passionate, and insightful; bringing together years of study and experience in classical and Vinyasa yoga, Therapeutic Yoga, fitness and personal training, somatic practices, dance, massage therapy, and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy.
Jeanette began her path of movement at an early age, teaching fitness classes at the age of 16 and personal training by 20. After receiving her BFA in Communication Arts from Pratt Institute in 1992, she went on to get her NYS Massage Therapy License in 1995. In 2004 she received her Yoga Teacher Training Certification from Kripalu, and for years explored somatic practices and dance based healing movement, learning from some of the country’s top yoga teachers. In 2014 she trained with Suzanne Lynch, studying the alignment practices of Anusara and Therapeutic Yoga. Jeanette is currently in a three year Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Foundation training with Turtle Back Craniosacral Education, ending in 2019. All of these influences come out in her classes and workshops, weaving together imagery, clear instruction, compassion, and humor.
Jeanette is originally from Long Island, NY, but now enjoys living in Saratoga Springs with her husband, three kids, two dogs, and three cats for the past 22 years. She has a massage practice located downtown and also hosts classes, workshops, parties, and privates in Yoga and Dance.
